Process organization of a professional organization Multimedia creative team

Multimedia creative team (MMCT) is a students professional organization producing multimedia output for commercials. MMCT needs a new optimal process model, which would work better than the present one. To reach this goal will be used the SWOT analysis and also the experience of the author of this thesis, who is actually a managing director in this very organization. In this thesis organizations similar to this one will be described at first, then MMCT will be analyzed and afterwards all the organizations will be compared with MMCT. The practical part will design a new process model for MMCT, which will be verified by a case study. Also two persons from practice will comment this model and give some recommendations.
Multimedia communication

Multimedia is a form of communication and sharing knowledge using synergic effect of parallel connected communication channels. Its main use is in producing communications products and services and in design of user interfaces. Main objective of this dissertation is to develop and create a model of multimedia communication for better understanding of the meaning and the purpose of using multimedia forms in communication process. The model will describe a system of elements and parameters of multimedia communication within the internal and external context. Another objective of this dissertation is to develop multimedia communication methodology that will be used for the design, development and evaluations of concepts of multimedia communication. The methodology will be created by applying the model of multimedia communication into the procedure structure. In theoretical way this dissertation is based on analysis of different definitions and approaches to the multimedia communications topic. This is followed by an analysis of communication theories, concepts of media, multimedia, delivery channels, and communication functions. The theoretical part is followed by the outcomes of the research in practice of four different fields of multimedia use. The knowledge gained is analyzed in the following parts in purpose of creating the model of multimedia communication and the methodology which is derived from the model. The methodology is further validated through case studies and the recommendations for further development are formulated. The model and the methodology of multimedia communication created in this dissertation present complex view on multimedia communication topic that is considered as a useful tool for meeting a specific communication purpose. Dissertation provides mechanics for use and study of multimedia communication and also defines the opportunities for further development of the methodology.
Actual Situation in the Field of VOD Services and Their Effect on the Cinema Industry

This thesis maps the phenomenon of the on-demand audiovisual media services (hereafter VOD), which in today's world often represents a frequently discussed topic, which moves the world of the audiovisual industry and changes the traditional distribution models. The thesis follows the current situation and the future prospects in this field and seeks to analyse the impact of the VOD services on the traditional audiovisual industry. The first part introduces the context of issues of the VOD and furthermore gradually pays attention to the VOD service providers, impacts of the VOD services on the audiovisual 'ecosystem', new distribution strategies, changes in user habits, the influence the VOD has on the classical movie theatres and finally the role of today's viewer and the newly resulted pitfalls and opportunities. The thesis concentrates primarily on the Czech market, which is to be understood in the context of the entire European Union but at the same time cannot ignore even the strongest VOD player, which have their original forts in the United States. Besides the sources available traditionally, the important source of relevant information have been personal interviews with professionals from the film distribution industry mostly.
Animated Video Clip in Art Education at Basic School

The thesis focuses on ways of creating an animated video clip as part of art education at basic school and on various views of art as a school subject, in which multimedia creation is used. The theoretical part describes the animated film as a specific way of intermedia expression in the context of past and contemporary art. It deals with the origin and history of animated film and describes the production and various techniques used for its creation. It analyzes the scope for the creation of an animated video clip in intermedia and experimental activities in art education at basic school. The practical part contains the implementation and reflection of my own art lessons focusing on the creation of animated video clip in class 5.B at Lerchova school in Sušice in 2013.
